The Canvas

Where imagination meets soul, and colors speak what words cannot.

The Canvas Chronicles: A Journey Through Expression

Anaida’s creativity was never limited to a single medium. Just as she weaves stories through song and flavor, she brings emotion to life through paint, form, and image.

Art Life

A self-taught artist, Anaida’s art is deeply intuitive — often arriving like whispers from somewhere beyond. She doesn’t plan her pieces; she listens to them. Every stroke, every texture, every hue tells a story she didn’t always know she was carrying.

She works across oil, acrylics, watercolors, ink, pencil, chalk, and coal — shifting mediums like moods. Her repertoire also includes rare forms such as Persian miniature carvings combined with calligraphy of Rumi and Hafez, etched and painted on leather — a craft few, if any, practice today.

Exhibition at AIFACS

Her debut solo exhibition was held in Delhi, supported by AIFACS - one of India’s oldest and most prestigious galleries, where many of the country’s iconic artists first began their journey. The show featured her carved leather works alongside ink and acrylic paintings and received acclaim for both its originality and emotional depth.

Anaida later founded the Pune Art Gallery at Oakwood Hotel, curating a powerful collective of India’s top artists. Among them was the celebrated Painter Siddharth, with whom she exhibited her work “Ishq” — a painting inspired by the poetry of Rumi.

Anaida is an artist
she sing
she dances
she visualizes
and off course she can paint
in a very first meeting
i could see a sun energy in her
the sun is shining through her
even on the canvas or on paper
why don’t you perform a dance to the sun and let the energy flow?
she started to dance before a big canvas
and after some time
started to throw bucket full of colors on the canvas
she was dancing to a tune and enjoyed splashes of colors till she was exhausted
then did Persian calligraphy on the top
it was a great site to witness
we were jumping with joy
what have you scribed on the canvas i asked
shouted she “ISHQUE”

then here is Rumi I said

Rumi was there between us
‘amin’

Spotlighting Anaida: The Art, the Artist, the Journey

Anaida has exhibited her works in India and abroad, but prefers to let her art find its own rhythm — and its own audience.
To her, the act of creation is sacred — a conversation between the seen and the unseen.
This is not art for decoration.
It’s art for transformation.
