To Anaida, food is memory, medicine, and magic.

A storyteller by nature, she extends her creativity into the kitchen — crafting dishes that nourish the body, delight the senses, and uplift the spirit.

Though known across India for her artistry in music and performance, Anaida’s journey as a chef began with a longing for something deeply personal: the authentic taste of her roots. Having lived in India for years, she often wondered why there wasn’t a single place offering true Persian cuisine — not the hybrid ‘Irani café’ fare, but the nuanced, delicate dishes passed down through generations in Iranian homes.

So, she brought it to life herself.

What began as a 7-day Persian food pop-up quietly turned into a culinary phenomenon — running for 55 days across cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. The overwhelming response led to her becoming Chef Partner at one of India’s most iconic restaurant chains, where her authentic Persian menu was permanently featured in select outlets.

Within just a year and a half, Anaida was named Chef of the Year (2019) — not just for her food, but for the heart and vision she brought to the table.

But Anaida didn’t stop at recipes. She used food as a medium to spark connection, healing, and joy.
From her “Happiness Table” breakfast workshops — where she guided guests in activating positive energy through intention and nourishment — to innovative culinary events that blended heritage and community, Anaida redefined what a restaurant experience could be.

Some highlights from her savory journey:

  • Curated Saffron Masterclasses and workshops across India, sharing ancient knowledge on how to work with the world’s most prized spice.
  • Created “Mumbai Old Fashioned” — immersive evenings mixing art, music, heritage, and flavor.
  • Honored the legacy of Mumbai’s Dabbawalas with a special initiative, a comic book featuring them as India’s superheroes, in English and Marathi, celebrating their contribution to the city.
  • Brought to light Maharashtrian tribal cuisine with her initiative “Tribal Taali” — cooking alongside Mumbai’s indigenous communities and bringing their culinary stories to the fore.
  • Hosted acclaimed pop-ups that reintroduced forgotten dishes to modern audiences with elegance and authenticity.
